Vendula Strakova was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Maryland Eastern Shore's
Bridget Ebster-Schwarzenberger earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Strakova (6-0, So., RS, Brno, Czech Republic) averaged 19.5 kills and 9.5 digs per match to aid the Lady Pirates to a 2-2 mark at the McNeese State Tournament. Strakova tallied three double-doubles during the four-match span and combined for 20 assists, nine aces and eight blocks. In a 3-2 loss to Baylor, the outside hitter posted 30 kills along with 10 digs.
Ebster-Schwarzenberger (5-10, Fr., OH/RS, St. Veiberstrabe, Austria) aided the Lady Hawks in three victories at the West Virginia Golden Horseshoe Challenge. The outside hitter finished the tournament with a .449 hitting percentage. She combined for 25 kills on 49 attacks along with 10 digs and one block to earn all-tournament honors.

Jessica Croucher (DSU) was just shy of a double-double with 14 kills and nine digs against Missouri- Kansas City.
Krysta Gardner (BCU) tallied a double-double of 18 kills and 15 digs in a non-conference loss to Hampton.
Arianna Hayden (MSU) totaled 31 kills, 19 digs and two blocks in three matches for the Lady Bears.
Jasmine Jackson (DSU) recorded 30 kills and 25 digs in three Lady Hornet matches.
Kaveinga Lea'Aetoa (UMES) combined for 26 kills on 54 attacks with eight digs, and five blocks in three victories.
Darcy Moore (NSU) averaged 7.82 assists per set for the Spartans.
Delicia Pierre (BCU) combined for 57 kills, 16 blocks and nine digs in five matches last week.
