Saitaua Iosia was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. North Carolina Central's
Christine Anthony earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Iosia (5-10, So., OH, Long Beach, Calif.) guided the Lady Hawks to three victories at the St. Francis (N.Y.) Tournament last week. The outside hitter posted a .358 hitting percentage and averaged a double-double of 21 kills and 15 digs during the three match span. She added seven blocks, three assists and three aces during the victories. In a win over Radford, Iosia finished with a .408 hitting percentage in a match in which she recorded 24 kills and 17 digs.
Anthony (5-10, Sr., OH, Willemstad, Curacao) tallied 61 kills and 22 digs in four matches for North Carolina Central. Against UNC-Greensboro, Anthony was just shy of a double-double with 14 kills and nine digs.

Maria Ceccarelli (FAMU) posted 10 kills and 15 digs in a 3-1 loss to Florida International.
Andrea Evans (NCAT) recorded a .325 hitting percentage in three matches with 17 kills and two digs.
Bel Fakaosi (DSU) totaled 11 kills and 19 digs in three DSU matches.
Beatriz Ferreira (NSU) recorded 16 kills on 29 total attacks in a 3-1 loss to Hartford.
Bryana Gadis (SSU) totaled 27 kills in three matches for the Lady Tigers.
Krysta Gardner (B-CU) posted a double-double of 10 kills and 10 digs against East Carolina.
Arianna Hayden (MSU) totaled 18 kills, six digs and two blocks at the Battle of the Bay Tournament.
Jasmine Jackson (DSU) recorded six kills and 12 digs in a loss to Long Island.
Krista Kraskura (Ham) totaled 65 kills and 48 digs in four matches to earn All-Tournament honors at the NCCU Invitational.
Monica Lowe (B-CU) totaled 21 digs in three matches for the Lady Wildcats.
Darcy Moore (NSU) averaged 8.75 assists per set in three matches for the Spartans.
Cindy Okpegbue (CSU) combined for 22 kills and five digs in nine sets for Coppin State.
Gabrielle Otero (CSU) totaled 40 digs (4.44 per set) in three Lady Eagle matches.
Shandice Sluch (SCSU) was just shy of a double-double with 10 kills and nine digs against Coastal Carolina.
Brooke Stamnes (NCAT) combined for 21 kills and 36 digs in three matches to earn All-Tournament team honors at the Western Carolina Classic.
E. Paige Webb (SCSU) recorded a double-double of 17 kills and 16 digs in a 3-2 victory over Coastal Carolina.
