Coppin State Softball Leads Nation in Triples Per Game

Coppin State led the nation in triples per game according to the final softball statistical release published by the NCAA on Wednesday.

The Eagles finished the season with 17 triples in 40 games and averaged 0.40 per game to lead the nation. Albany and Northern Colorado tied for second averaging 0.36 per contest.

Heather Josker and Paige Arnold each had four triples during the season to lead the team, while Emily DeJesus had three and Taylor Kairos and Candice Van Horn each added two. Seven different players hit at least one triple for the Eagles.

Individually, Josker and Arnold tied for 28th in the nation in total triples with four.
