NORFOLK, Va., April 30, 2012- Delaware State's Jordan Reid earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week honors in softball, the conference announced on Monday. Florida A&M's Jennifer Lindsey was named the Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week, while Bria Green of Delaware State earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Reid (OF, 5-8, Sr., Accokeek, Md.) hit .800 in 10 appearances with one double, seven runs and three RBI to aid the Lady Hornets to a three-game sweep of Howard last week. The senior hit a perfect 3-for-3 in the second game against the Lady Bison and also stole four bases and added six putouts defensively during the series.
Lindsey (P, 5-6, Jr., Jacksonville, Fla.) was 2-0 last week with a 0.50 ERA in 14 innings for the Lady Rattlers. In the final game of the series against South Carolina State, the junior pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one walk.
Green (OF, 5-8, Fr., Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) was 6-for-11 (.545) with five runs and four RBI to aid the Lady Hornets to a 3-0 mark last week. The outfielder was 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI in a 12-3 win over Howard.

Michelle Banuelos-Smith (B-CU) batted .529 with two homeruns, one triple, 4 doubles, five runs, and six RBI in five games for the Lady Wildcats.
Casey Beighley (DSU) posted a 2-0 mark with a 4.67 ERA while striking out two in nine innings.
Morgan Boyd (NSU) was 7-for-10 (.700) with an RBI in three games for the Spartans.
Jordan Eades (MSU) earned a 2.38 ERA and struck out 13 for the Lady Bears last week.
Sabrina Edmonds (NCAT) batted .750 (3-for-4) with a homerun, two runs, and three RBI in an 11-9 loss to Presbyterian College.
Tera Gainer (FAMU) was 6-for-9 with two doubles, four runs, and four RBI to aid the Lady Rattlers to a 3-0 mark last week.
Amber Hallman (SSU) batted .400 (6-for-15) with two doubles, two runs, and a RBI in five games for the Lady Tigers.
Madison Hedderly (SSU) posted a 1-1 record in three appearances with a 2.33 ERA and seven strikeouts last week.
Deanna Matlock (MSU) was 3-for-3 (1.000) with two runs and three RBI in a 16-1 win over Maryland Eastern Shore.
India Morgan (SSU) was 1-for-2 with one double and a run in a 4-3 win over Presbyterian College.
Tiffany Rubin (MSU) batted .700 with one homerun, a double, six runs, and eight RBI to aid the Lady Bears to a 3-0 record last week.
Jamie Schulle (NSU) posted a 1-2 mark with a 2.27 ERA and 11 strikeouts for the Spartans last week.
Calesha Shelley (B-CU) batted .500 with six runs and five RBI to aid the Lady Wildcats to a 3-2 mark last week.
