Florida A&M dropped a 5-3 decision to cross-town rival Florida State, Tuesday evening at the JoAnne Graf Field.
FAMU (16-25) was paced by Jasmin Donaldson as she tallied three hits in four at-bats, scoring two runs as the Lady Rattlers finished the game with nine hits.
Kirstin Austin led the FSU from the plate as she collected two hits in three at-bats, while scoring two runs as the Lady Noles finished with a game high ten hits.
Jessica Nori (3-0) picked the win for the FSU as she pitched five innings, giving up seven hits, two earned runs and striking out three, while Lacey Waldrop(2) picked up the save for the Lady Noles as she pitched two scoreless innings in relief.
Ashley Minter (2-6) received the loss for the Lady Rattlers as she gave up eight hits, five earned runs and striking out one in three and one-third innings on the mound.
FSU (36-8) where the first to light up the scoreboard as Erika Leonard singled up the middle scoring Courtney Senas, followed by a Kelly Hensley single scoring Austin, giving the Lad Noles, a 2-0 lead.
Donaldson would score her first run of the game as Whitney Robinson doubled to center field, cutting FSU's lead to 2-1.
The Lady Rattlers would tie the game at 2-2 as Tera Gainer scored on a passed ball.
FSU would take a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning as they scored three runs.
FAMU would then score their final run of the game in top of the fifth inning for the 5-3 finale.
