The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced their 2012  NABC Division I All-District coaches and Savannah State head men's basketball coach Horace Broadnax has been named the All-District Coach for District 15.

Broadnax led the Tigers to a 21-win season along with a trip to the National Invitational Tournament

SSU finished the season with a 21-12 record and won the regular season title in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with a 14-2 record.

Broadnax was named the 2012 MEAC Coach of the Year and is currently a finalist for the Ben Jobe Coach of the Year Award.
