NCCU Softball Concludes Weekend At Longwood 0-4
FARMVILLE, Va. (www.NCCUEaglePride.com) - North Carolina Central returns to the nest following four losses during the adidas Longwood Classic on March 10-11 in Farmville, Va., against squads from Longwood and Binghamton.
On Saturday, March 10 NCCU dropped a 7-1 decision to Binghamton and concluded the day with a 6-2 loss to Longwood. During Sunday, March 11 competition, the Lady Eagles fell 6-1 to Longwood and came close to success with a 3-2 loss to Binghamton.
Junior class members Nadia Jefferies, Sarah Kaiser and Mae'Risha Watts tallied two runs apiece in the two-day Virginia event.

DSU Leaves Sunshine State With 4-2 Win Over UNF
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore Stephanie Sarris struck out a season-high five batters and senior Jordan Reid legged out a two-RBI inside the park home run as Delaware State team wrapped up their 13-game Florida swing to open the season with a 4-2 victory over the University of North Florida on Day Three of the Osprey Invitational at the UNF Softball Complex.
Sarris notched her third win of the season giving up six hits and two runs (both earned) as the Hornets open the year with a 5-8 record.
Each team recorded just one hit in the final frames.
Senior Alyson Bailey went 3-for-3 with a double and run scored for UNF.
DSU swept three games against UNF (10-12) this past week.
