SC State Snaps Losing Skid With 74-58 Win Over Longwood
ORANGEBURG,SC - The South Carolina State Bulldogs snap their longest losing streak in school history Monday night, with a 74-58 victory over Longwood University (8-15) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
Freshman guard Devin Joint with 16 points and eight rebounds, while senior Brandon Riley chipped in 14 on the night. Omar Sanders finished with a team-high 11 rebounds and 13 points.
Longwood had three players in double figures with senior forward Anwtan Carter leading with way with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while sophomore guard Tristan Carey finished with 18. Senior guard Martiz Washington added 10 in the loss for the Lancers.

Bears Drop Fourth Straight, Fall to Howard 54-46
BALTIMORE, Md.- Morgan State lost their fourth straight as Howard pulled away late in a 54-46 victory over the Bears Monday night at Hill Field House.
DeWayne Jackson led Morgan State with 10 points. While senior Kevin Thompson led the Bears with seven rebounds while contributing seven points.
Howard's Prince Okoroh led everyone with 14 points and five rebounds on the night.
Morgan State made only three field goals out of 20 attempts in the last 20 minutes

Pirates Fall To Hornets On The Road
Dover, Del.- Tahj Tate and Casey Walker led five players in double figures with 16 points each in Delaware State's 77-69 win over Hampton in Memorial Hall this evening.
Marques Oliver had 15 points and a team-high seven rebounds for DSU. Jay Threatt tallied 12 points, a season-high 10 assists and five steals for the Hornets, while Tyshawn Bell came off the bench to chip in 12 points.
The Pirates closed out the game with four players in double figures, led by senior guard Mike Tuitt (Bronx, N.Y.), who recorded his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 assists. Senior guard Christopher Tolson (Laurel, Md.) scored 14 points, while senior guard Darrion Pellum (Hampton, Va.) finished with 13 points for the Pirates. Junior forward Wesley Dunning (Laurel, Md.) also finished in double figures with 10 points.

Spartans Bounce Back, Set Division I Wins Record with 72-60 Win over UMES
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Chris McEachin matched his career high with 20 points while Kyle O'Quinn added 18 to help Norfolk State snap a two-game losing streak and set the school's single-season Division I wins record with a 72-60 win at Maryland Eastern Shore on Monday night.
Rodney McCauley chipped in with a season-high 12 points for the Spartans (17-8, 9-2), who surpassed the 2007-08 team's previous D-I record of 16 wins.
Hillary Haley paced UMES with 20 points. Tyler Hines had 13 and Percy Woods 10.

Rattlers Get Big 87-77 Home Win Over NCA&T Aggies
TALLAHASSEE, FL - The FAMU Rattlers (7-17, 5-5 MEAC) took control of the Aggies of North Carolina A&T (10-15, 5-5 MEAC) in the first half and never relinquished control as they defeated the Aggies 87-77, here in the Al Lawson Center.
Reggie Lewis had the hot hand for the Rattlers as he scored a game high 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting (.500), including 5-of-8 from the three-point arch. Amin Stevens contributed 19 points and Chris Watson chipped in 15. One of the unexpected factors that contributed to the Rattlers' high scoring output was Avery Moore, who went 4-of-6 from the three-point arc to score 18 on the night.
DaMetrius UpChurch and Nic Simpson scored 14 points each in the Aggies' losing effort. Jean Louisme added 10 points, to round out the trio of Aggies who scored in double figures. The Aggies shot 47.5 percent from the field as a team from the field.

Eagles Keep B-CU At Bay In 81-79 Win
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Lack of stops put a temporary stop to Bethune-Cookman's run for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference lead as North Carolina Central outlasted the Wildcats 81-79 Monday night in historic Moore Gymnasium.
Seniors Nick Chasten (Raleigh, N.C.) and Dominique Sutton (Durham, N.C.) scored 18 points along with sophomore Jeremy Ingram (Charlotte, N.C.) who scored all 10 of his points in the second half.
B-CU's Adrien Coleman led all scorers with a career-high 29 points in the loss for the Wildcats (10-14, 7-3 MEAC). As a team, the Wildcats shot 18-for-26 (69.2%) from the field in the second half despite the loss.
