Clemson, S.C.-For the first time since the 1993-94 season the SC State defeated Clemson, picking up the 67-55 non-conference win at Littlejohn Coliseum on the campus of Clemson. The Lady Bulldogs improves to 6-2 overall while Clemson falls to 1-7 on the season. This is also the best start for SC State under fifth year head coach Doug Robertson tutelage.
SC State had three players to score in double-figures led by senior Paris Alston who recorded a double-double and game-highs in points and rebounds with 18 and 15, respectively. Senior Tiara Knotts dropped in 14 including 4-of-4 from free-throw range while senior Cabriel Duren contributed 10 points in win.
Jonquel Jones led three Clemson players in double-figures with 17 points. Jones also pulled in a team-high 14 rebounds in the game. Orangeburg, S.C. native Nyilah Jamison-Myers scored 16 and Kelly Gramlich added 12 points in the loss.
