Bowling Recap: November 17

 

HAWKS STAY ON TOP, GO 5-0 & HOLD 1st PLACE AFTER DAY TWO OF HAWK CLASSIC

MILLSBORO, Del.-In her first Hawk Classic, freshman Kristie Lopez led all UMES bowlers, averaging a 217.2 over five games and totaling 1,086 pins to push the Lady Hawks to a perfect 5-0 on the day and more importantly maintaining first place heading into the final day.

Not far behind was All-American Anggie Ramirez.  A two-time MVP of the Hawk Classic, Ramirez was 11th overall but averaged a 216.2 in her five games, rolling a 1,081, just five pins less than Lopez who was eighth overall.

Megan Buja was the third highest Hawk, finishing in 20th place and averaging a 200.8 with a pinfall of 1,004. 

MEAC Pre-season Player of the Year, T'nia Falbo was fourth for UMES in 24th place, averaging a 197.6 over five games with a pinfall of 988.  Reigning MEAC Rookie of the Year Mariana Alvarado was the fifth Hawk but was 41st overall in the 114 bowler field.  She averaged a 185 with a pinfall of 925.
