Norfolk State freshman Jessica Johnson was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.  Florida A&M's Yeisha Arcia earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

Johnson (5-10, Fr., OH, Land O'Lakes, Fla.) recorded 15 kills on 30 attacks with only one error for a .467 hitting percentage in a four-set win against Morgan State. Johnson added 13 digs, two blocks and two aces in the victory.

Arcia (5-11, OH, r-Fr., San Juan Puerto Rico) combined for 49 kills and 31 digs to aid the Lady Rattlers to a 2-1 mark last week. Against Savannah State, Arcia posted 13 kills on 15 attacks without any errors for a .865 hitting percentage.

Christine Anthony (NCCU) combined for 29 kills and 25 digs to aid the Eagles to a 1-1 mark last week.

Maria Ceccarelli (FAMU) recorded back-to-back 20 plus kills against Troy and South Carolina State.

Jessica Croucher (DSU) tallied a double-double of 17 kills and 18 digs in a five-set win over Howard.

Bryana Gadis (SSU) tallied 12 kills and five digs in a four-set loss to Bethune-Cookman.

Saitaua Iosia (UMES) recorded a double-double of 14 kills and 10 digs in a win over Howard.

Jasmine Jackson (DSU) posted 10 kills on 17 attacks for a .588 hitting percentage in a loss to Lehigh.

Vendula Strakova (Hampton) totaled 28 kills, 12 digs and four blocks in two wins last week.

Allysa Medina (Hampton) had eight kills and three digs in a 3-0 sweep of Coppin State.

Samantha Prescott (MSU) totaled 16 kills and 14 digs in a four-set loss to Norfolk State.

Jasmine Waite (SSU) posted seven kills on 14 attacks with a .357 hitting percentage against Bethune-Cookman.

Desire Waller (SCSU) recorded 29 kills, four blocks and three digs in a five-set loss to Florida A&M.

Melanie Williams (SCSU) averaged 42 assists seven digs in three matches for the Lady Bulldogs.

Janelle Wilson (MSU) tallied 29 kills, 11 blocks and five digs to guide the Bears in three matches.
