Lehigh Flies By Hornets, 3-0

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman Jasmine Jackson posted 10 kills and no errors with a hitting percentage of .588 while classmate Alena Jung tallied a match-high 12 digs, but Lehigh proved to be too much for the Delaware State as they fell, 0-3 (16-25, 21-25, 21-25) to the Mountain Hawks Tuesday evening at the Leeman-Turner Arena.

The loss was the seventh straight for the Hornets as they fall to 4-16 overall on the year while Lehigh improved to 9-11.

Senior Bel Fakaosi recorded a match-high 35 assists while Lehigh's Clark collected a match-high 14 kills.

Florida A&M Falls in Five Sets to Troy
TALLAHASSEE,FL (Oct. 23) - The FAMU Lady Rattlers (7-9, 5-0 MEAC) used a solid team effort to nearly avenge an early-season shutout by the Troy Trojans (17-9, 7-3 Sunbelt) here tonight in the Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium.

Senior outside hitter Maria Ceccareli carded 24 kills to lead the Lady Rattlers' attack.  Freshman Yeisha Arcia, started slowly in the first set, but picked up the slack down the stretch to give FAMU the boost to close the gap with the Trojans.

The Trojans were led by Alicia Dukes with 19 kills, followed by Devin Von Pingel with 17.  Breanna Cullity and Kayla Pickart closed out the Trojans in double digit kills, with 15 and 10 respectively.

Alexandra Alexander set up the hitters with 50 assists.  Defensively, Courtney Cohen had 27 digs, while Alexander carded 15.  Dukes added 11 digs for the Trojans.

South Carolina State Falls to Charleston Southern in its Final Non-Conference Game of the Season

Charleston, S.C.-The SC State women's volleyball team fell to Charleston Southern, 3-1, (21-25, 20-25, 25-22, 18-25) in its final non-conference game of the season. Junior Desire Waller, who finished with a game-high 21 kills, eclipsed the 1000th career kill mark.  She currently sits fourth on the all-time list with 1,018.

Sophomore Maya Bell recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs. Junior Taylor Bailey had nine kills with seven block assists while Waller added six digs, one block solo and three block assists to her stat line.  The lone senior, E. Paige Webb picked up a game-high 22 digs and freshman setter Melanie Williams had a game-high 48 set assists as the Lady Bulldogs fell to 6-12 overall.

Charleston Southern had four players finish with double-digit kills led by Sydney Tracey with 13.  Kayla Klinger and Meredith Parrott each had 11 and Wynter Davis added 10 kills in the victory.  Ashley Higgenbothem and Klinger had double-digit digs with 15 and 12, respectively.

NCCU'S ANTHONY RECORDS DOUBLE-DOUBLE IN LOSS AT UNCW Eagles

WILMINGTON, N.C. - North Carolina Central rookie outside hitter Christine Anthony recorded her sixth double-double of the season during a three-set loss (25-14, 25-18, 25-19) at UNC-Wilmington on Tuesday.

Anthony collected 11 kills, 11 digs and three blocks to lead the Eagles.

NCCU sophomore Dayana Arrufat Rondon added seven kills and eight digs, while junior Kalin Russell contributed five kills and a career-high 10 digs.

North Carolina A&T Falls to Charleston Southern, 3-0

CHARLESTON, S.C.- North Carolina A&T was swept by The Citadel Bulldogs (5-22) on Tuesday evening in McAlister Fieldhouse, by 18-25, 21-25, 20-25.  The Aggies made late runs in the second and third sets, but were unable to complete the come-from-behind victories.  

The Aggies were led offensively by senior middle hitter Andrea Evans who tallied nine kills.  Freshman Te'Borah Hawkins-Hollingsworth had eight kills and posted a team-best .375 hitting percentage.  Junior Jeana Daniels led the team with five blocks, which matched a season-best.  Freshman Ashley Johnson recorded a team-best 24 digs in the match for her 17th double digit digs match.
