NORFOLK, Va.- Savannah State's Arnold Louis was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Tahj Tate of Delaware State was named the Rookie of the Week for the second time this year while teammate Marques Oliver earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
Louis (F, 6-7, 205, Jr., Wauchula, Fla.) averaged a double-double in a pair of wins last week for the Tigers. He recorded a total of 29 points, 28 rebounds, one steal and one assist against Stetson and Howard. Louis posted 20 points and 14 rebounds, while going 2-of-2 from the 3-point range, to guide Savannah State to a 71-50 win over Howard.
Tate (G, 6-4, 190, Fr., Easley, S.C.) scored 20 points, connecting on 7-of-7 free-throws in the Hornets' 76-70 victory against North Carolina Central. For the week Johnson totaled 39 points, three rebounds, three steals, and three assists.
Oliver (F, 6-7, 220, Jr., Durham, N.C.) recorded 11 blocks with 16 rebounds and five steals in two conference victories over Florida A&M and North Carolina Central. Against FAMU Oliver had 12 rebounds with eight blocks, along with 10 points and four steals in 36 minutes of play.

Anthony Breeze (B-CU) - scored 20 points and brought down four rebounds in a 67-55 win against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Yannick Crowder (FAMU) - recorded his sixth double-double in a win over Bethune-Cookman hauling in 13 rebounds and 12 points, to go along with two steals and three blocks.
Michael Harper (CSU) - tied a career-high with 30 points against North Carolina A&T and averaged 23.0 points and 3.5 rebounds to guide the Eagles to 1-1 mark in conference play.
Marc Hill (NCAT) - averaged 20.0 points and 2.0 assists to guide the Aggies to two conference wins. Hill also went 4-4 from 3-point range against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Garrius Holloman (B-CU) - averaged 11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals to aid the Wildcats to a 1-1 mark last week.
Prince Okoroh (Howard) - recorded 10 points and four rebounds in a 71-50 loss against Savannah State.
Kyle O'Quinn (NSU) - recorded his 14th double-double in a win over Morgan State and averaged 16.0 points, and 9.5 rebounds, while shooting 61-percent from the floor in two games.
Adrian Powell (NCAT) - recorded 15 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks in a win over Coppin State.
Chris Watson (FAMU) - scored a team-high 18 points and grabbed four rebounds with two blocks in a win over Bethune-Cookman.
Ray Willis (NCCU) - averaged 22.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in two conferences loses this week.
