NORFOLK, Va., January 24, 2012- Maryland Eastern Shore's Anggie Ramirez was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Ramirez (Jr., Bogota, Columbia) knocked down 1,047 pins and averaged a 209.4 at the New Year's Knockdown, hosted by St. Francis (NY). Ramirez earned All-Tournament honors while leading the Lady Hawks to an 8-2 mark and third place finish. The junior recorded 200-plus scores in four out of five games played including a game-high 245 against #2 Fairleigh Dickinson.

Rebecca Glazier (Hampton) led her team with a 206 against St. Francis (NY) at the New Year's Knockdown.
Tiffany Lebahn (DSU) totaled 1,012 pinfall and a 202.4 average at the New Year's Knockdown.
Melonie Mitchell (B-CU) averaged a 193.0 to aid the Lady Wildcats to a 7-6 record at the Big Red Invitational.
Toria Silver (NCCU) led her team to a fourth place finish with a 188.0 average at the Frederick Underwood Classic.
