Jeremy Ingram's Career Night Earns NCCU"S First Road Win

BALTIMORE- Sophomore Jeremy Ingram's career-high 27 points, Ray Willis's second double-double of the season, and North Carolina Central University's stellar defense holding Howard University to 29.8 percent shooting (14-for-47) were all the Eagles needed to earn their first road win of the season 69-53 inside Burr Gymnasium on Monday night in Washington, D.C.

Willis scored 13 and grabbed 10 rebounds and Dominique Sutton contributed 11 points for NCCU. The Eagles shot 53 percent from the field and 85 percent from the charity stripe to capture their first road win of the season.

Andrews led Howard with 17 points and 5 rebounds while freshman Simuel Frazier came off the bench to add 10 points.

B-CU Out-Toughs Savannah State 68-62 For 2nd Straight Win

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Ricky Johnson had just made all ten free throws attempts in the final 1:06 of Monday's 68-62 victory over Savannah State.

Adrien Coleman scored 15, Dukes 13 and Johnson 12 as the Wildcats used a strong second half to outlast a Tiger (8-10, 4-2) team that entered Monday's game in second place.

B-CU limited SSU to 35.5 percent field goal shooting and out-rebounded the Tigers 29-13 in the final 20 minutes.

Holloman (eight points) had a game-high 11 rebounds for B-CU, while Breeze posted eight points and five boards. Stanley Elliott's stat line included five points, four rebounds, three steals and three blocks.

Rattlers Ignite Lawson Center With 86-69 WIn Over SCSU

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Jan. 16) - The Florida A&M Men's Basketball team picked up their second Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference win of the season as they defeated South Carolina State 86-69, here Monday evening at the Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium.

FAMU (4-15, 2-3 MEAC) had two Rattlers to finish with double-doubles as Amin Steven pumped in 19 points and pulling down 12 rebounds, followed by Jeremy Dean scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Reggie Lewis continued his hot shooting, adding 18 points.

SCSU (4-15, 0-5 MEAC) had four Bulldogs to score in double-figures as Brandon Riley scored a team high 16 points. Both Khalif Toomb and Omar Sanders finished with 13 points each, while Luka Radovic pumped in 10. Sanders led the Bulldogs in rebounds with nine boards.

Eagles Fall to Norfolk State 74-66

BALTIMORE, Md. - Pendarvis Williams scored a career-high 25 points and Kyle O'Quinn tallied 24 points and 19 rebounds to lead Norfolk State to its seventh straight win, a 74-66 decision at Coppin State on Monday night at the Physical Education Complex.

Williams drained a career-best six 3-pointers, hitting 6-of-8 from behind the arc. He was 9-of-12 from the floor in all and also grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists. Not to be outdone, O'Quinn registered his 12th double-double of the year and tied his career-best with 19 rebounds. It was the third time in O'Quinn's career that he has pulled down 19 rebounds in a game, and all three have come against the Eagles (8-10, 3-2).

O'Quinn finished 11-of-15 from the floor and grabbed seven offensive rebounds. He also had two assists and two blocks. Marcos Tamares and Johnson added seven points and six, respectively, while Jamel Fuentes handed out six assists for the second straight game, matching his career high. NSU posted a season-high 21 assists as a team.

Logan Wiens led the Eagles with 20 points. Antonio Williams chipped in with 14 points and 11 boards, and Michael Harper added 11 points.

Pirates' Road Troubles Continue at Morgan State

BALTIMORE, Md. - Hampton University senior guard Darrion Pellum scored a career-high 36 points, but it was not enough for the Pirates, as they dropped another tough road game Monday, 68-56 to Morgan State at Hill Field House.

Pellum (Hampton, Va.) went 12-for-28 from the floor, including five 3-pointers on his way to a career night.

As a team, the Pirates were 32.3 percent (21-for-65) from the floor and made just nine of their 17 free throws.

The Bears (4-11, 2-2 MEAC) finished the game with three players in double figures, led by Aric Brooks with 18 points off the bench, while Ameer Ali added 14 points. Larry Bastfield also added 10 points of his own in the win.

The Bears scored 28 points off the bench, while the Pirates were able to score 24 points in the paint.

Senior forward Danny Agbelese (Lanham, Md.) finished the night with nine points and seven rebounds.
