Desire Waller was named the MEAC's Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Maryland Eastern Shore's
Saitaua Iosia earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Waller (6-1, So., MH, Houston, Texas) averaged 18.67 kills and 9.33 digs in three matches for the Lady Bulldogs last week. She guided her team to a 2-1 mark and earned All-Tournament honors at the Alabama State Tournament. The middle hitter recorded 56 kills on 111 total attacks (.324). Defensively, she added 28 digs and six blocks.
Iosia (5-10, Fr., OH, Long Beach, Calif.) aided her team to a 1-1 mark at the High Point Invitational. The outside hitter posted 15 kills and 26 digs in a 3-2 loss to Campbell and followed that performance with 21 kills and nine digs in a 3-1 win against High Point. This is the fourth straight week that Iosia has earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

Kierra Outlin (MSU) averaged 13 kills, eight digs and two blocks, in two matches, for the Lady Bears.
Nangeeshie Plaud (MSU) combined for 15 kills and 17 digs to aid Morgan State to a 1-1 mark last week.
Adriana Ramos (NSU) recorded 17 kills on 42 attacks with 13 digs in a win against High Point.
Ariel Richard (CSU) tallied 14 kills and 17 digs in a 3-2 conference loss to Morgan State.
Emmanuelle Santos (NCCU) hit 73-percent from the floor with 12 kills and seven digs in a conference win over North Carolina A&T.
Maline Vaitai (UMES) recorded a double-double of 15 kills and 11 digs against Campbell.
