Natalie Chafeh was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Teammate
Nangeeshie Plaud earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Chafeh (5-10, So., S, Fontana, Calif.) totaled 109 assists with 22 digs and 14 kills to aid the Bears to a 2-1 mark last week. The setter recorded a career-high 47 assists and earned MVP honors at the La Salle Invitational. Offensively, she hit 34-percent from the field with 14 kills on 35 attacks.
Plaud (5-9, Fr., OH, Partillas, Puerto Rico) tallied 29 kills and 25 digs in three matches for Morgan State. In a 3-2 win over Providence, Plaud recorded a double-double of 11 kills and 10 digs.

Mianna Armstrong (Ham) totaled 26 kills and 25 digs and earned All-Tournament honors at the Hilton RTP/North Carolina Central Invite.
Jennifer Jimenez (B-CU) aided the Lady Wildcats to a 1-1 record last week with 29 digs in two matches.
Marija Jovanovic (FAMU) hit 36-percent from the field against Georgia.
Sonja Maksimovic (Ham) recorded 13 kills with nine digs in three matches last week for the Lady Pirates.
Gabrielle Otero (CSU) totaled 26 digs in a 3-2 win against Chicago State and earned all-tournament honors at the Quality Inn/Asics Classic hosted by Indiana State.
Khrysta Peter (B-CU) was 8-of-15 from the floor in a 3-0 non-conference win against Savannah State.
Desiree Waller (SCSU) totaled 19 kills and 22 digs in three matches for the Lady Bulldogs.
