Threat Of Hurricane Irene Forces Volleyball Schedule Changes
DOVER, Del. - The incoming severe weather that is believed to hit the east coast in the next few days has forced schedule changes for the Delaware State University volleyball team.
The volleyball team was originally scheduled to play Stetson, Bucknell and William and Mary in the Tribe Invitational in Williamsburg, Va. This tournament has been cancelled as the William and Mary campus is being evacuated for the weekend.

Tiny Laster Memorial Tournament Canceled
HAMPTON, Va. - The Tiny L. Laster Memorial Volleyball Tournament, originally scheduled to take place Friday and Saturday at Holland Hall, has been canceled in anticipation of inclement weather as a result of Hurricane Irene.
The Hampton University volleyball team will instead open the 2011 season at North Carolina Central on Friday and Saturday in the Hilton/RTP Tournament.
Hampton's first game will be Friday at 11 a.m., when the Lady Pirates take on Elon. Hampton will then face Campbell at 11 a.m. on Saturday, before taking on tournament host NCCU at 7 p.m.

Hurricane Irene Sends Volleyball Opening Weekend Spinning
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Hurricane Irene has turned the Bethune-Cookman University volleyball team's opening weekend into a logistical whirlwind.
With Hampton canceling the Tiny Laster Memorial Volleyball Tournament in anticipation of inclement weather resulting from Hurricane Irene, several of the participating teams got together and will play a series of matches at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.
So instead of flying to Virginia, the Lady Wildcats spent Thursday riding a bus to South Carolina. Instead of Maryland Eastern Shore, Isaac Raphael's debut as B-CU Head Coach will come against Savannah State at 3 p.m. B-CU will then face host The Citadel at 5 p.m.
