Jordan Reid earned MEAC Player of the Week honors in softball, the conference announced on Monday. Bethune-Cookman's
Alison Garcia was named the Pitcher of the Week, while Delaware State's
Stephanie Sarris earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Reid (OF, 5-8, Jr., Accokeek, Md.) hit .667 with two RBI, one triple and two doubles as the Lady Hornets clinched the northern divisional title with a sweep of Morgan State last week. Reid scored three runs and posted six hits in nine appearances.
Garcia (P, 5-7, Sr., Chino Hills, Calif.) finished 2-0 last week with a 3.21 ERA against North Carolina A&T. The senior struck out eight and walked four in 14 innings.
Sarris(P, 5-6, Fr., Rohnert Park, Calif.) pitched six innings and posted a 0.00 ERA against Morgan State last week. The freshman allowed only three hits and no walks during the three-game series.

Brittany Barker (How) was 4-of-7 with three RBI to aid the Lady Bison to a 2-1 record against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Casey Beighley (DSU) had a 3.50 ERA and was 1-1 last week against Morgan State.
Marisa Coates (How) hit .444 with seven RBI, two home runs and one double against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Aurelia Gamch (B-CU) was 5-of-12 (.417) with six RBI, two home runs and one double against North Carolina A&T.
Emily Johnson (How) finished 1-1 against Maryland Eastern Shore with a 2.87 ERA in 9.4 innings.
