The 2011 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Championship title game was delayed today due to lightning and inclement weather at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex in Ormond Beach, Fla.

The defending MEAC champion Bethune-Cookman Wildcats and Delaware State Lady Hornets will resume play tomorrow at 10 a.m. B-CU won the first game today, 7-1, to starve off elimination and force a second and deciding game in the double-elimination bracket.

The two teams were tied at 2-all in the bottom of the second when the game was halted.  

Bethune-Cookman is vying for their second straight and sixth overall championship title, while DSU is seeking it first championship since 2008 and fifth overall.
