BUIES CREEK, N.C. - North Carolina Central suffered a 10-0 loss to the Campbell Camels in Buies Creek, N.C. on Monday evening.
Campbell's Olivia Scarborough pitched a complete no-hitter game. Scarborough faced 18 batters, striking out nine and walking four.
Shamika Chavis-Hodge began on the mound for the maroon and grey. In 3.1 innings of play, Chavis-Hodge faced 22 Camels, she struck out one batter and walked four. The sophomore pitcher also allowed Campbell's 9-of-10 runs. Kayla McPeek was next on the circle, against four batters McPeek permitted one run and three hits.
Amanda Miller led the host offense going 2-for-2 on three times at bat. Raven Lee posted four RBI on the night.
The mighty maroon drops to 6-32 on the season.
