Desi Washington was named the Rookie of the Week and North Carolina A&T's
Thomas Coleman earned the Defensive Player of the Week honor respectively.
O'Quinn (F/C, 6-10, 240, Jr., Jamaica, N.Y.) scored a career-high 37 points, including the winning free-throws in a double overtime victory against Coppin State. He added 19 points and six blocks in the win. O'Quinn followed that performance with 19 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks for his 10th double-double of the season against Maryland Eastern Shore. For the week, O'Quinn shot 62-percent from the floor (18-of-29) and 78-percent from the charity stripe (18-of-23).
Washington (G, 6-2, 180, Fr., Harrisburg Pa.) recorded back-to-back double digit performances against Howard and North Carolina A&T last week. He recorded 20 points, two rebounds and one assist while shooting 50-percent from the floor (7-of-14) and 56-percent from 3-point range (5-of-9) against Howard. In an overtime loss to North Carolina A&T, Washington scored 18 points, two rebounds and one assist.
Coleman (C, 6-9, 240, Sr., Louisville, Ky.) pulled down 23 rebounds, blocked four shots and grabbed three steals to aid the Aggies to a 1-1 mark last week. Against Morgan State, Coleman grabbed 11 rebounds and recorded two steals and one block. In a win over Delaware State, he posted 12 rebounds, three blocks and one steal. Offensively he combined for 50 points while shooting 67-percent from the floor (22-of-33) and the free-throw line (6-of-9).

Kwame Morgan (Ham) averaged 22.0 points and 4.0 rebounds against Maryland Eastern Shore and South Carolina State.
CJ Reed (B-CU) scored 34 points and 10 rebounds against Coppin State.
Kyle Riley (How) totaled 26 points and 15 assists in two games for the Bison.
Alexander Starling (B-CU) combined for 26 points and 16 rebounds against North Carolina Central and Coppin State.
Amin Stevens (FAMU) tallied 19 points, seven rebounds and three blocks against South Carolina State.
Jay Threatt (DSU) totaled 25 points, 14 assists, and seven steals in two games for the Hornets.
Kevin White (UMES) scored 22 points and eight assists in a win over Norfolk State.
