BayHawks Acquire Former MSU Standout Reggie Holmes

The Erie BayHawks, a member of the NBA Development League, have acquired guard Reggie Holmes from the league's available player pool.

Holmes, a 2010 graduate of Morgan State University, was the 2010 MEAC Player of the Year and named to the Associated Press All-American honorable mention team after averaging 21.8 points and 4.3 rebounds during his senior season. Holmes recently returned from a short stint playing internationally in Morocco.

Holmes guided Morgan State to a 27-10 overall mark, including 15-1 in the MEAC, while helping the Bears capture their third straight MEAC regular season title and second straight MEAC Tournament title a year ago. He completed the season averaging 21.8 points and 4.3 points for the Bears, who made their second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The 6-foot-4 guard finished his career as the all-time leading scorer in MSU men's basketball history with 2,051 points.
