MEAC Announces Weekly Bowling Honors

Norfolk State University  freshman Thea Aspiras was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Aspiras (4-11, Fr., Chesapeake, Virginia) earned All-Tournament Honors and was named Most Valuable Player at the Kutztown Invitational. She averaged a 222.0 and knocked down a total pinfall of 1,332. Aspiras also bowled a game and career-high 277 against SUNY-IT. As a team the #16 Spartans finished 6-9 overall

Other Top Performers

Paula Vilas (UMES) bowled a 210.5 on 1,263 pinfall at the Kutztown Invitational.  

Keisheena Waldon (MSU) averaged a 202.3 at the Kutztown Invitational, including a game-high 246 against New Jersey City.
