COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Eight of nine Terrapins scored in double figures as No. 5/6 Maryland cruised by Delaware State University, 108-33, in non-conference play Thursday evening at the Comcast Center.
The loss was DSU's seventh straight, to move them to 2-7 on the year while the Terrapins stay undefeated at 10-0.
Redshirt freshman Tierra Hawkins, redshirt sophomore Uchechi Ahaiwe and Tierra Bristow each scored seven points to lead DSU. Hawkins also collected six rebounds on the night.
Eight of nine Terrapins who saw action scored in double figures and were led by Laurin Mincy's 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field.
The Lady Hornets shot a dismal 19.2 percent from the field compared to Maryland's 66.2 percent.
Possibly the largest stat of the night was Del State's eight points in the paint while the Terps posted 64.
