NORFOLK, Va., December 6, 2011- Maryland Eastern Shore's Anggie Ramirez was named the MEAC Bowling Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Ramirez (Jr., Bogota, Colombia) averaged a 200.4 with 1,002 pinfall in five games at the second MEAC northern divisional meet. Four out of five of Ramirez' scores were over 200, including a game-high 220 in a win over Coppin State. As a team the Lady Hawks posted a 10-0 mark in team and Baker games to improve to 37-9 on the season. This is the second time this season that Ramirez has earned weekly accolades.

Thea Aspiras (NSU) aided her team to a 10-0 mark at the second MEAC southern divisional meet of the season with a 962 pinfall and 192.4 average.
Mariah Hebbe (SCSU) led her team with a 181 in a win against North Carolina A&T.
Staci Hilliard (B-CU) guided the Lady Wildcats to a 3-2 mark in team play with a 191.4 average and 957 pinfall at the MEAC southern divisional meet.
Tiffany Lebahn (DSU) knocked down 964 pins and averaged a 192.8 at the MEAC northern divisional meet.
Nicole Kettler (Hampton) led her team with a 180.5 average at the MEAC northern divisional meet.
Katherine Jones (FAMU) bowled a team-high 225 in the Lady Rattlers' win over North Carolina Central.
