Norfolk State's Pendarvis Williams was named the MEAC Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Simuel Frazier of Howard was named Rookie of the Week while Kyle O'Quinn, also of Norfolk State, earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
Williams (G, 6-6, 185, So., Philadelphia, Pa.) totaled 51 points, shooting 65-percent from the floor, to lead the Spartans to a pair of non-conference Division I victories last week. Against Toledo, Williams recorded 17 points with six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 29 minutes of play. In a victory over St. Francis he shot 8-of-11 from the field including 3-of-5 from long range to tally 24 points, four assists, three steals, and two rebounds.
Frazier (G, 5-11, 170, Fr., Norfolk, Va.) recorded 17 total points with six assists, four steals, and three rebounds in two non-conference games against Indiana and Delaware.
O'Quinn (C, 6-10, 240, Sr., Jamaica, N.Y) averaged 10 rebounds (8.0 defensive), blocked five shots and recorded two steals in two NSU road wins. Offensively he averaged 18.5 points and scored the game-winning layup in the victory against Toledo.

Glen Andrews (Howard) scored 28 points with six rebounds, two steals and one assist in an overtime win against Delaware.
Akeem Ellis (CSU) averaged 25.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds in games against Charlotte and Saint Joseph's.
