B-CU Stays With Stanford Before Falling 75-56
STANFORD, Calif. - Anthony Brown scored a season-high 16 points to help Stanford win its fifth straight game Monday, 75-56 over Bethune-Cookman.
Josh Owens added 11 points and a game-high seven rebounds for the Cardinal (10-1), who improved to 7-0 at home ahead of Thursday's contest against Butler.
Adrien Coleman scored 14 points to lead the Wildcats (3-9), who lost their fourth straight and sixth of seven overall. Stanley Elliott added 13 points.
Bethune-Cookman, in the middle of a nine-game road trip, played without leading scorer Anthony Breeze, who sustained a knee injury in Saturday's 77-52 loss at Saint Mary's. The Wildcats, who played in the NIT last year, fell to 0-8 on the road and were outrebounded for the seventh consecutive game.

Rattlers Play Auburn University Tough in 76-69 loss
AUBURN, Ala. (Dec.19) -The Florida A&M Rattlers (2-10, 0-1 MEAC) had nine players to score in a solid team effort, but in the end they were defeated 76-69 by the Auburn Tigers (7-1), tonight in the Auburn Arena.
The solid effort by the Rattlers against the Tigers, who are off to their best start in eight years, was led by sophomore guard Avery Moore. Moore led all scorers with 24 points on 7-18 shooting.
He hit three triples, while connecting on 7-7 free throws. Yannick Crowder was the only other Rattler to score in double figures with 13 points on 5-12 shooting from the field. Crowder carded a double-double with 11 rebounds and four blocks to add to his 13 points.
Rob Chubb led the Tigers with 21 points on 6-11 shooting. Frankie Sullivan (16) and Chris Denson (12), would round out the trio of Tigers in double figures. Kenny Gabriel pulled down six offensive and seven defensive rebounds for a total of 13 for the game. Sullivan would pull down nine rebounds, just one shy of a double-double.

Ellis Scores Career-High 29 in Loss to Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Senior Akeem Ellis scored a career-high 29 points, but Charlotte used a big run midway through the second half to pull away from Coppin State and the 49ers went on to defeat the Eagles 74-63 on Monday night in Halton Arena.
Coppin State, which fell to 4-6 on the season, failed in its first attempt to secure head coach Ron "Fang" Mitchell his 400th career coaching victory at CSU.
Ellis finished the game 10-of-15 from the floor and 6-of-7 from the free throw line to notch his career-high 29 points. He also added five assists and four rebounds. Gallo added 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Coppin State.
