Agbasi Records 150th Career Block In UMES Loss To USF
TAMPA, Fla. - With six blocks on Saturday, Adobi Agbasi earned career block #150 as the Lady Hawks fell to Big East opponent South Florida 71-50 at the USF Recreation Center. UMES falls to 2-7 on the season while the Bulls go to 7-5.
Each side started fast, scoring at least five baskets before the first media timeout. Amber Cook contributed two layups and an assist, while Chelsea Sanders also hit two shots during this period as USF led 12-10 at the 15:52 mark.
Along with her six blocks, Agbasi finished with nine rebounds and six points. Cook led UMES in scoring with 15 points, adding five boards and two assists. Sanders got 10 points and six rebounds.
Kaneisha Saunders led the scoring for the Bulls with 20 points, adding a pair of steals. Wynne got 19 points with nine rebounds and four steals, while Andrell Smith had 11 points and four rebounds.

Delaware State Falls 72-61 To North Florida
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore Tasia Bristow followed Sunday's career-high performance of 28 points with a game-high 24 points this afternoon but it wasn't enough as Delaware State lost, 72-61, to North Florida in the UNF Osprey Holiday Classic.
Bristow shot 9-of-15 (.600) from the floor, 2-of-3 from three-point land and 4-for-5 from the charity stripe to lead all scorers. The guard scored 17 of her 24 points in the second half.
Redshirt freshman Tierra Hawkins recorded 18 points on 8-of-13 (.615) shooting for the Lady Hornets. She posted a team-high eight rebounds in addition to three steals in 37 minutes played.
Lakira Jones ended the game with a double-double for the Ospreys with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Brittany Kirkland finished the game with 19 points while Taylor Smith added 13.

Lady Rattlers Maned Southeastern La., 85-63
HAMMOND, La. (Dec. 17) - Florida A&M finished the Southeastern Christmas Classic undefeated as they defeated Southeastern Louisiana, 85-63, Saturday afternoon at the University Center.
FAMU (5-5)had four Lady Rattlers to score in double-figures as Kimberly Sparkman scored a game high 23 points to leads all scorers. Behind her was Qiana Donald with 17 points and seven rebounds, followed by Tameka Mckelton with 15 points and Keturah Martin with 10. Jalessa Blue pulled down a team high 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Rattlers on the boards, while Martin dished out a team high seven assists.
The Lady Rattlers finished the first half shooting 48.6 percent (18-of-37), while the Lady Lions shot 33.3 percent (9-of-27) as FAMU went into the break with a 44-24 lead.
SELA (4-7) had three Lady Lions to score in double-figures as Jessica Sommers scored a team high 14 points from off the bench, followed by Aja Gibson with a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Amber Crenshaw rounded out the cast of Lady Lions in double-figures with 10 points.
