Coppin State Falls to Wake Forest
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Ashle Craig scored 13 points and Crystal Whittington had 11 points and seven rebounds, but Coppin State dropped an 80-58 decision to Wake Forest on Friday in the Lawrence Joel Coliseum.
Craig made 8-of-14 free throw attempts to finish with 13 points to lead the Eagles, while Whittington made 7-of-10 from the free throw line. Jaleah Holsey also finished in double figures with 10 points.
Coppin State (1-2) shot just 25.0 percent from the floor and committed 24 turnovers in losing to the Deamon Decons.
Wake Forest (2-0) remained undefeated on the season despite shooting only 38.4 percent from the floor. The Deamon Decons outscored CSU 40-16 in the paint and scored 24 points off of Coppin State turnovers.
Lindsy Wright led Wake Forest with 15 points off the bench on 7-of-8 shooting from the field. Chelsea Douglas added 14 points and Camille Collier added 13.

North Carolina A&T Tops No. 18 Liberty, 81-74
GREENSBORO- Redshirt junior Amber Calvin matched a career-high by scoring 24 points to help propel North Carolina A&T (2-2) to an 81-74 win against Liberty (1-2), who was ranked 18th among mid-major schools by CollegeInsider.com.
Mikala Scott finished with 19 points on 6-for-12 shooting. Calvin, who had just 16 points in her first three games, more than doubled her point total with her strong performance. The redshirt sophomore out of Fayetteville, N.C., returned this season after injuring her knee before the start of the 2010-11 season.
She went 6-for-8 from beyond the arc, with four of those coming in the first half, and 6-for-8 at the free throw line. Junior forward JaQuayla Berry had 16 points for the Aggies.

Lady Rattlers Fall to C-USA Champ UCF Knights 67-51
ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov.18) - The FAMU Lady Rattlers (1-1,0-0) dropped a tough battle against the 2010 Conference USA champion UCF Knights (1-1, 0-0), 67-51 tonight at the UCF Arena.
The game was close through the first half as the Knights led the Rattlers by one point, 21-20 at the half. Kimberly Sparkman led the Lady Rattlers with eight points on 3-for-4 shooting from the floor. Qiana Donald scored four points and grabbed three rebounds. Keturah Martin scored three points for FAMU.
The defensive battle was tight throughout the half. The Lady Rattlers shot just 32-percent from the field and struggled to go 1-for-4 from the free throw line.
Meanwhile, the Knights were led in the first half by Gevenia Carter, who scored 10 points on 3-for-4 shooting from the field. Erika Jones scored five and Aisha Patrick scored four. The Knights shot just 21.2-percent from the field, but 40-percent from the 3-point line.
The second half, the Knights would catch their rhythm and play their tough inside game. Carter finished with 21 points, and Patrick finished with 17 points. Jones rounded out the trio in double figures with 13.
The Lady Rattlers were led by Donald and Kimberly Sparkman, who scored 12 points each. Bennett led the team with eight rebounds, while Donald grabbed seven.
