Natalie Chafeh was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Maryland Eastern Shore's
Saitaua Iosia earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Chafeh (5-10, So., S, Fontana, Calif.) totaled 93 assists and 10 digs in three victories for the Lady Bears last week. In a 3-0 sweep of Hampton, the setter tallied 40 assists, six digs, two kills and one block. She followed that performance hitting 83-percent from the floor (5-of-6) with 28 assists in a 3-0 victory against Norfolk State.
Iosia (5-10, Fr., OH, Long Beach, Calif.) led the Lady Hawks in two conference victories last week. The outsider hitter totaled 21 attacks on 40 total attempts (.325). In a 3-0 victory against Delaware State, Iosia tallied 12 kills, six digs and three aces. Against Howard she combined for nine kills, four digs, one assist and one service ace.

Aubrianna Curtis (B-CU) posted 51 assists and 11 digs in two outings for the Lady Wildcats.
Tosin Elebute (Howard) hit 30-percent from the field with 35 kills in two matches for the Lady Bison.
Beatriz Ferreira (NSU) totaled 25 kills and six blocks to aid the Spartans to a 1-1 mark last week.
Elisa Herrmann (DSU) was 8-of-14 from the floor (57.1 percent) in a 3-0 loss to Maryland Eastern Shore.
Krista Kraskura (Hampton) recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 12 kills and 15 digs in a loss to Norfolk State.
Kaveinga Lea'Aetoa (UMES) hit 48-percent from the field with 18 kills on 27 attacks for the Lady Hawks.
Petra Parros (Hampton) recorded a career-high 10 kills in a 3-2 loss to Norfolk State.
Adriana Ramos (NSU) posted 23 kills and 15 digs in two matches for the Spartans.
Zuri Smith (MSU) combined for 17 kills and four blocks to aid Morgan State to a 3-0 mark last week.
Desiree Waller (SCSU) posted a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs in a non-conference win over South Carolina -Upstate.
