Antonia Bennett was named the MEAC Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Coppin State's
Larissa Carter received Rookie of the Week honors, while North Carolina A&T's
Jaqualya Berry earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
Bennett (Guard/Forward, 6-0, Jr. Lakeland, Florida) averaged 20.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals to aid her team to a 1-1 record last week. In a 63-62 win over North Carolina Central, Bennett posted a career-high 31 points while grabbing 15 boards, four steals and blocking six shots.
Carter (Forward, 5-11, Fr., Atlanta, Georgia) averaged 11.5 points and 7.5 rebounds for the Lady Eagles last week as they went 1-1 in conference play. In a 75-74 loss to North Carolina A&T, Carter posted a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. For the week, she shot 55-percent from the charity stripe and held a 47-percent field goal percentage.
Berry (Guard, 5-11, So., Coffee, Georgia) totaled seven rebounds, seven steals and seven assists in two games for the Lady Aggies posting a 2-0 record for the week. Against N.C. Central, Berry grabbed five boards while adding five steals and three assists in the 85-49 win.

Nakia Gorham (NCAT) averaged 14.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in two games for the Lady Aggies
Chelsea Sanders (UMES) averaged 13.5 points and 6.0 rebounds for the week against Morgan State and Howard.
Saadia Doyle (How) recorded 27 points and six rebounds against Bethune-Cookman.
Casey Morton (UMES) posted 20 points and four rebounds in a 64-56 victory over Morgan State.
Kyla Rollins (MSU) averaged 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds while helping Morgan State to a 1-1 finish last week.
Whitney Long (NSU) posted 24 points aiding the Spartans to a 73-65 victory over South Carolina State.
Jasmine Daniels (B-CU) averaged 18.0 points 5.5 rebounds for the week in two MEAC games.
Jericka Jenkins (Ham) averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals in two games for the Lady Pirates
Whitney Wiley (SCSU) averaged 18.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals for the Lady Bulldogs
