Norfolk State University freshman Thea Aspiras was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week the conference announced on Wednesday.
Aspiras (Fr., Chesapeake,Virginia) averaged a 186.6 on a 933 pinfall during the MEAC Southern Division match hosted by Florida A&M. Aspiras recorded two 200-plus games rolling a 205 against host team Florida A&M and game high 214 against North Carolina A&T. As a team the Spartans finished with a 7-3 mark.

Jazmin Bingham (FAMU) bowled a high game of 210 against South Carolina State completing the MEAC Southern Division match with a 168.25 average.
Jazmin Sutherland (B-CU) knocked down 874 pins and averaged 174.8 in five games at the MEAC Southern Division match.
