Shuaib Winters were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Anais (Jr., Martinique, France) took home second place honors at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invite with a time of 18:45.59 on the 5K course. As a team, the Lady Hawks finished fifth out of ten teams.
Winters (So., Conyers, Georgia) finished in fifth place at the Mountain Dew Invitational, hosted by Florida. Winters clocked a time of 25:06.89 on the 8K course and aided his team to a 12th place finish out of 19 competing teams.

Jasmin Branch (Hampton) aided her team to a second place finish at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invite with seventh place finish in 19:09.69.
Danielle Calhoun (MSU) finished among the top 20 in 20:23.18 at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invite.
Jennifer Chichester (NSU) ran a season-best time of 18:50.19 to finish fourth at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invite.
David Kimani (Hampton) finished among the top ten with in 26:09.38 at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invite.
Shatievah Lewis (DSU) ran a time of 19:53.19 at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invite.
Basil Melek (UMES) was runner-up at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invite with a time of 25:43.76.
Christian Smooth (MSU) finished 13th out of 66 runners with a time of 26:50.90 at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invite.
Kelli Thibou (DSU) guided his team to a sixth place finish at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invite with a time of 27:50.16.
