Ta'Wuana Cook has worn the North Carolina A&T Aggies jersey for the last time, but that still hasn't stopped her from picking up another accomplishment.
Cook has been named a First-Team Division I All-State selection by the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association. Cook adds this to her list of accomplishments that include being a three-time All-MEAC selection with one of those selections being a first-team honor.
She is also the first women's basketball player in school history to be named MEAC Rookie of the Year. The school record books are filled with Cook's name. She is the school's all-time assist leader and she is second in school history in scoring 1,723 points. What the Aggies have accomplished since Cook's arrival is also impressive.
The Aggies won 91 games over her four-year career with three MEAC regular-season titles, one MEAC Tournament title, one NCAA appearance, two WNIT appearances included. Recently, she helped the Aggies win two games in the 2010 WNIT. It was the first time a NCAA Division I historically black college or university won two consecutive games in a national postseason tournament.
