The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) completed the second day of the 2010 MEAC Bowling Championship at the Gate City Lanes in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Defending MEAC Champion Delaware State advanced to their third MEAC final appearance and await the winner of tomorrow's South Carolina State/Maryland Eastern Shore semifinal match up. The Lady Bulldogs topped Morgan State in the double-elimination bracket and will take on Maryland Eastern Shore in tomorrow's semifinal.
South Carolina State, the number seven seed, upset #2 Florida A&M and after a loss to #3 Maryland Eastern Shore the Lady Bulldogs defeated #5 Hampton before topping #6 Morgan State.
In the matchup against Morgan State, South Carolina State battled back from being down 2-1 and rallied to win three games in Baker play to advance.
The MEAC Bowling Championship final is set for tomorrow at 11:45 a.m. and will be televised in a tape-delayed format on ESPNU on March 29, at 6 p.m.
Top seeded Delaware State will compete for its second straight championship crown. The Lady Hornets topped Bethune-Cookman, Norfolk State and Maryland Eastern Shore in the best of seven matches during Baker play to advance to the championship final.
The MEAC Bowling Championship wraps up on Sunday, March 21 at 9:30 a.m. beginning with the semifinal round and concluding with the championship final. Admission is free and open to the public.
