In day two of the 2010 FAMU Rattlers NCAA Bowling Classic, the Florida A&M University Bowling team remained in first place as they garnered a 4-2 record in match play, here Saturday afternoon at Capital Lanes.
The Lady Rattlers finished in day two of the classic with 5,438 total pin falls in match play and 7,657 total pin falls overall.
In their first match, FAMU defeated arch rival Bethune-Cookman 928-773 with Janell Dykes Bowling a game high 198.
In match two, the Lady Rattlers defeated cross town rival Florida State 931-891 as Jazmin Bingham recorded a team high 203 total pin fall. FAMU in their third match knocked off Winston-Salem State 922-702 with Lauren Mathews bowling a team high 203.
The Lady Rattlers would drop their next two matches as they fell to Bethune-Cookman 908-853 and to Florida State 937-927.
FAMU would end on a good note as they defeated Winston-Salem State 877-699 in their final match of the day as Kiana Cogdell knocked a team high 206 pins.
Bingham led the Lady Rattlers in total pin falls with 934, followed by Ashley Melson with 879 and Dyes with 875 total knock downs.
The Lady Rattlers will conclude the 2010 FAMU Rattlers NCAA Bowling Classic on Sunday, Feb. 7 at Capital Lanes in an 8 a..m. start.
