Howard's Michelle Brown and  Norfolk State's Arsenio Culver was chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tennis Athletes of the Week, for matches played February 22-28.  Howard's Brittney Morgan and Norfolk State's Dexter McDowell earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

Brown (So., Los Angeles, California) won the doubles point with teammate Ashley Moore and also topped Navy's Emani Dequir in three sets [6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8)].

Culver (Jr., Philadelphia, Pa.) aided Norfolk State to their first victory of the season with a two set sweep of Chowan's Jordan Owens at the number one singles position.  He also teamed up with Jonathan Sessom to win the number one doubles point.

Morgan (Fr., Beverly Hills, California) won in straight sets 6-0, 6-1 at the number three position against Navy's Brittney Boucher.   

McDowell (Fr., Suffolk, Virginia) won at the number five singles position 6-0, 6-1 over Chowan's Charles Fisher.

Other Top Performers 

Jan Langer (SCSU) won at the number six singles position against UNC-Wilmington's Alex Wetherell 1-6, 6-3, 12-10.
