April McBride was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Howard's
Saadia Doyle earned Rookie of the Week honors, while Bethune-Cookman's
Demetria Frank earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
McBride (Guard/Forward, 6-0, Sr., New Rochelle, New York) averaged 30.7 points and 8.7 rebounds while shooting 54-percent from the floor (35-of-64). She also shot 50-percent from 3-point range (6-of-12) in three games for the Lady Hawks last week. Against Bethune-Cookman McBride tallied 27 points, 12 rebounds, three blocks and two steals. She followed with 31 points, seven rebounds and one assist in an overtime loss to Florida A&M. In a win over Coppin State, McBride recorded 34 points, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Doyle (Forward, 5-11, Fr., Atlanta, Georgia) totaled 34 points and 22 rebounds in a two games for the Lady Bison last week. She tallied 17 points, 11 rebounds and two steals against Norfolk State. She followed that performance with 17 points and 11 rebounds for her 16th double-double of the year in a win over Florida A&M.
Frank (Guard, 5-9, Jr., Miami, Florida) grabbed 16 rebounds and recorded eight steals in two Lady Wildcat victories last week. Offensively, she added 32 points and four assists.

Paris Alston (SCSU) averaged 13 points and four rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs while shooting 69-percent from the field in two games last week.
JaQuayla Berry (NCAT) shot 50-percent from the field and averaged 14.5 points along with 3.5 rebounds to aid the Lady Aggies to a 1-1 mark last week.
Sarah Bolden (B-CU) shot 58-percent from the field (14-of-24) and totaled 35 points, 18 rebounds, five steals and three assists in two Lady Wildcat victories.
Zykia Brown (How) aided the Lady Bison to a 2-0 mark with 28 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds.
Latoya Buckner (UMES) totaled 34 points, nine rebounds and five assists in three games for the Lady Hawks last week.
Portia Deterville (How) pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds in a win over Florida A&M.
Kianna D'Oliveira (DSU) totaled 17 points and 11 rebounds in two games for the Lady Hornets last week.
Bernadette Fortune (Ham) led the Lady Pirates to a 1-1 mark last week including a career-high 30 points and 11 assists in a win over North Carolina A&T.
Sophilia Hipps (SCSU) shot 45-percent from the field and averaged 18 points for the Lady Bulldogs.
Tameka McKelton (FAMU) recorded a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Maryland Eastern Shore.
Quanneisha Perry (Ham) recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds against Bethune-Cookman.
Lamona Smalley (NCAT) averaged a double-double of 13.5 points and 12 rebounds along with 3.5 assists and 2.0 blocks to aid the Lady Aggies to a 1-1 mark last week.
