No. 20/22 Cardinals Fly By Morgan State, 104-74

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Preston Knowles scored a career-high 31 points as Louisville (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 22 AP) routed Morgan State 104-74 in its final tuneup before a showdown with rival Kentucky on Friday.

Kyle Kuric added 25 points and the Cardinals (11-1) had little trouble with the Bears. Louisville shot 59 percent from the field and forced 26 turnovers to easily win its third straight.

The Cardinals, who scored 114 points in a win over Western Kentucky last week, stayed hot. Louisville made 17 of 23 3-pointers (74 percent) while topping the 100-point barrier for the third time this season.

DeWayne Jackson led Morgan State (4-5) with 22 points but the Bears were never in it. The Cardinals needed just five minutes to build a double-digit lead and cruise to its fourth victory by at least 30 points.

Terrance Jennings added 15 points while Chris Smith had 10 for Louisville. The Cardinals continued to share the ball, finishing with 25 assists on 35 field goals, a trait coach Rick Pitino said has been key to his team's surprisingly strong start.

Hornets No Match For Tigers

Clemson, S.C. (Dec. 27, 2010) --- Jerai Grant led five players in double figures with 15 points in Clemson's 76-41 men's basketball victory over Delaware State at Littlejohn Coliseum this evening.

The Tigers won their fourth straight to improve to 9-4, while the Hornets dropped their fourth in a row to fall to 4-7.
Grant was 7-for-9 from the field. He also led the Tigers with five assists. Milton Jennings and Demontez Stitt added 11 points each for Clemson.

Jay Threatt and Desi Washington were high scorers for the Hornets with eight points each. Threatt also had five assists and three steals. Freshman Casey Walker, Delaware State's leading scorer at 13.3 points per game entering the contest, was held to two points on 1-for-6 shooting from the field.

The Hornets were 8-for-26 from the field (30.8%), while Clemson hit 16 of its 31 first half shots.
