Jasmine Elum earned Rookie of the Week honors, while Hampton's
Melanie Warner earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
Jenkins (Guard, 5-4, Jr., Lancaster, Texas) connected on 12-of-21 shots (57.1 percent) for 30 points to lead the Lady Pirates to a 78-77 double-overtime victory against Indiana Purdue-Fort Wayne. Jenkins shot 60-percent from long range (3-of-5) and was a perfect 3-of-3 from the charity stripe. She also hauled down four boards, stole three passes and recorded seven assists in win.
Elum (Guard, 5-8, r-Fr., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) averaged 16 points, 3.6 rebounds and two steals in three games for the Lady Wildcats. The guard shot 42-percent from 3-point range (10-of 24) and 67 percent from the free-throw line (10-of-15) and earned all-tournament honors at the Osprey Holiday Classic.
Warner (Forward, 5-10, Jr., Tallahassee, Florida) pulled down 10 rebounds, nine defensive, with two steals and one blocked shot against Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne.
Other Top Performers:
Marian Brooks (NSU) totaled 18 points and 18 rebounds in two games for the Spartans.
Whitney Long (NSU) averaged 23 points, five rebounds and 1.5 steals to lead the Spartans to a 1-1 mark last week.
Jeanine Manley (CSU) scored a season-high 22 points with nine rebounds and three steals against Missouri State.
Kwinnyata Mercer (UMES) scored 21 points, four rebounds and four steals in a 61-50 loss to Towson.
Chena Parker (UMES) was just shy of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds against Towson.
