Lady Rattlers Routes Bethune-Cookman, 3-1
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Nov. 7) - Florida A&M rolled to a 3-1 (25-17, 25-10, 22-25, 25-12) over arch-rival Bethune-Cookman, Sunday afternoon at the Lawson Center, broadcasted live on ESPNU.
FAMU (10-13, 6-1 MEAC) finished the match with 47 kills, while B-CU (7-24, 2-5 MEAC) tallied 32.
The Lady Rattlers had a pair of players to finish in double-digit kills with Katherine Huanec leading the way with 15, followed by Maria Ceccarelli with 12. Diana Gonzalez led FAMU in assists with 38, while Susan Egoavil led the team in digs with 21.
Krysta Gardner led the Lady Wildcats in kills with 10. Both Frances Rodriquez and Alexis Bliese led the Lady Wildcats in assists with 11 each, while Jennifer Jimenez finished with a team high nine digs.

Howard Sweeps UMES In Season Finale
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Tosin Elebute and Keri Partridge recorded 15 and 10 kills, for Howard as the Bison topped Maryland Eastern Shore, 3-0 (30-28, 25-18, 25-16), at Burr Gymnasium Sunday.
The loss for UMES (19-11, 8-2 MEAC) marks the first time it has been swept in conference since Oct. 14, 2006 against North Carolina A&T in Orangeburg, S.C. Howard improves to 8-18 and 5-4 in the league.
The Bison outhit UMES.320-.079 on the day. UMES tallied 25 errors to just seven for Howard.
Junior Zoe Bowens led the Hawks' 33-kill attack with 10 and freshman Malien Vaitai chipped in with eight.
Junior Rebecca Prado had a match-high 14 kills and sophomore Stephanie Sierra had 27 assists.

Eagles Down Spartans, 3-1
DURHAM, N.C. -Norfolk State had the early momentum, but North Carolina Central rallied to take a 3-1 win over the Spartans Sunday afternoon at McDougald-McLendon Gym.
NSU looked to be in control after winning the first set, 25-19, The Eagles, though, won the second set, 25-21, and cruised in the third set, 25-11, before a final 25-22 fourth-set victory.
The loss dropped NSU's record to 11-18 overall, while NCCU improved to 9-23.
Freshman Arielle Knafel and sophomore Ellica Morris led the way for NSU on offense with 11 and 10 kills, respectively, with junior Nicole Kessner posting 30 assists and six digs. Knafel and freshman Noelle Eagles each added eight digs to the team effort.
Belinda Behncke-Biney proved why she's the team leader on offense for the Eagles with 13 kills, while Jzima-Malaki Kalao had 36 assists, five digs and five kills. Raven King had a match-high nine digs, and Maritsann Sinclair led the up-front defense with six blocks along with seven digs.

Hornets Complete Season Sweep Of Coppin State
Dover, Del. (Nov. 7, 2010) --- Freshman Jessica Croucher had a game-high 13 kills to lead Delaware State to a 3-0 win over Coppin State this afternoon. The scores were 25-19, 25-12 and 25-21.
The Hornets won their second straight match to improve to 14-11 overall and 7-2 in the MEAC, while the Eagles fell to 5-21 and 2-8. Delaware State also completed a sweep of the season series between the teams.
Delaware State is tied for second place in the MEAC North standings, 1/2 game behind division leader UMES (8-2).
Ashley Herman had nine kills, six digs and four blocks for the Hornets, while Martina Ferrari dished out a game-high 31 assists. Ferrari also led DSU with nine digs.
Ashley Saunders led Coppin State with 11 kills and 12 digs.
Delaware State posted a .289 attack percentage in the match, collecting 41 kills and just 15 errors on 90 attempts. Coppin State had a .092 attack percentage (28/20/87).
