Anggie Ramirez was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Ramirez (5-6, So., Bogota, Colombia) guided her team to an 11-2 mark and a first place finish at the UMES Hawk Classic. Ramirez averaged a 237.8 on 1,189 pinfall. During the meet, she tallied four 200-plus games out of five games played and rolled a career-high 278 in a win against Wisconsin-Whitewater. As a team, the Lady Hawks recorded the first two 1200-pin games in school history during head-to-head matches.
Other Top Performers:
Lauren Graupmann (NSU) knocked down 1.039 pins and averaged a 207.8 at the UMES Hawk Classic. As a team the Spartans posted a 5-8 mark at the event.
