Norfolk State sophomores Philemon Kimutai and Aurora Scott were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Athletes of the Week, for the second consecutive week, the league announced on Wednesday.
Kimutai (So., Eldoret, Kenya) won the William & Mary Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge with a time of 25:29. His winning time on the 8K course aided the Spartans to a fourth place finish among eight teams.
Scott (So., Portsmouth, Virginia) paced the Spartans for the second straight week and finished ninth overall with a time of 22:15.40 at the William & Mary Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge. Her time helped her team to a fourth place finish.

Jasmin Branch (Ham) was among the top 20 finishers in the 6K course at the William & Mary Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge with a time of 22:54.10
David Kimani (Ham) led the Pirates with a time of 27:30.70 at the William & Mary Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge.
