Hampton University junior Aaryn Harrison was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Maryland Eastern Shore's Bella Jade Romero earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Harrison (6-0, Jr., Cary, North Carolina) led her team to a 2-0 mark at the Tiny Laster Memorial Tri-match last weekend. Harrison hit 19-of-40 from the floor (.375) and added five aces and two digs in the victories.
Romero (5-6, Fr., Arlington, Texas) posted two double-double performances to assist the Lady Hawks to a 2-2 mark at the William & Mary Tribe Invite. The setter recorded 44 assists and 10 digs in a loss to William & Mary and 25 assists and 13 digs in a win over Rider. For the weekend, Romero totaled 115 assists, 31 digs, five aces and three blocks in four matches.

Jovana Blazeski (Florida A&M) recorded 21 kills and 18 digs in a 3-2 loss to Central Michigan and earned all-tournament honors at the Florida State Invitational.
Erin Cox (MSU) tallied a double-double of 17 kills and 10 digs in a 3-2 loss to Campbell and earned the MVP honor at the N.C. State Hilton RTP Classic.
Gazelle d'Artois (How) averaged 9.25 kills and 7.25 digs per match at the Duquesne/Robert Morris Invitational.
Christine Edwards (UMES) was named to the William & Mary Tribe Invitational All-Tournament team after notching 11.5 kills and 6.25 digs per match and leading the Lady Hawks to a 2-2 record.
Cassandra Joyner (DSU) recorded a double-double of 12 kills and 21 digs in a 3-1 loss to Texas- Pan American.
Jasmine King (How) tallied 92 assists and 27 digs in four matches for the Lady Bison was named to the Courtyard by Marriott All-Tournament team.
Nicole Kessner (NSU) earned all-tournament honors at the UTEP Sun Bowl Invitational after tallying 65 assists, 19 digs and 11 kills in three matches for the Spartans.
Melissa Robinson (SCSU) averaged 6.5 kills and 5.5 digs per match in four matches at the North Carolina Central Invitational.
Chelle Ticeson (B-CU) hit 16-of 29 from the floor (.517) and added three aces and three digs against Jacksonville and North Florida.
Jade Sanford (SCSU) hit 11-of-15 (.667) from the floor in a loss to UNC-Asheville.
Macie Wyly (MSU) totaled 12 kills, five blocks, three assists and two digs last weekend for the Lady Bears.
Brittany Wynne (Ham) recorded 20 kills and averaged a .545 hitting percentage to aid the Lady Pirates in two victories last weekend.
