Florida A&M dropped their season opener to North Dakota State, 3-0 (9-25, 10-25, 24-26), Friday evening, in their first game of the Florida State Invitational at Tully Gymnasium.
FAMU (0-1) was paced by Jovanna Blaseski with nine kills, followed by Maria Gomez with seven and Maria Ceccarelli with five. Jessica Bonds led the Lady Rattlers in assists with 21, while Susan Egoavill finished with a team high 11 digs.
NDSU's (2-0) Chrissy Knuth finished with a team high 17 kills, while Brooke VandenBergh finished with a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs. Jennifer Lopez finished with the game with a game high 27 assists.
The Lady Rattlers will return to action tomorrow in their final two games of the FSU Invitational, as they will take on Central Michigan at Noon and tourney host Florida State at 7 p.m., in Tully Gymnasium.
