University of Maryland Eastern Shore sophomore Maria Rodriguez was named the MEAC Bowling Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Rodriguez (5-7, So., Ibague Tolima, Colombia) finished second among the field of competitors and was named to the All-Tournament team at the Kutztown Invitational.  She averaged a 200.8 on 1,205 total pinfall, including a 235 in a win over #16 Adelphi. Rodriguez tallied three 200-plus games out of six games played.  This is third time this season and the second consecutive week that Rodriguez has earned Athlete of the Week honors.

Other Top Performers:

Verra Diggs (HAM) knocked down 1,128 pins and averaged a 188.0 at the Kutztown Invitational.

Jazmyne Hefflefinger (DSU) earned all-tournament honors and averaged a 200.67 at the Kutztown Invitational.
