Hampton Hosts Morgan State in MEAC Doubleheader

Hampton will host Morgan State in a MEAC Doubleheader beginning a 4:30 p.m. with the women's game. The men's game will follow at 7 p.m.

The Lady Pirates (8-4) will face off against the Lady Bears (8-5) in thier second matchup of the season. Morgan State won the first meeting 77-55. In men's action, Hampton topped Morgan State 62-57.

The game is the tenth MEAC televised men's basketball and third women's basketball matchups of the season and is a part of the league’s seven-year partnership with ESPN. 

The MEAC television schedule tipped off  January 12, as the Florida A&M Rattlers picked up a double-overtime victory against the Hampton Pirates, 76-75. The Bulldogs fell to the Howard Bison, 65-74, on January 19 in the league’s second televised game of the season while the South Carolina State Bulldogs topped the North Carolina A&T Aggies 71-53 on January 26.  Coppin State defeated Maryland Eastern Shore 65-48, on February 2.

The South Carolina State Bulldogs were victorious over the Coppin State Eagles 69-61 on ESPN2 on February 7, while the Morgan State Bears topped Winston-Salem State in an evening game on ESPNU the same day. Norfolk State topped Florida A&M on February 9.
