MEAC Announces Bowling Weekly Honors

Delaware State University freshman Jazmyne Hefflefinger was named the MEAC Bowling Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

 

Hefflefinger (5-4, Fr., Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) knocked down 1,111 total pins and was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player at the Delaware State Capital Classic. She averaged a 222.2 and tallied four 200-plus games out of five games played. Hefflefinger bowled a career-best 248 in the Lady Hornets victory over Kutztown and aided her team in a season-best 1,122 pinfall against Norfolk State. This is second time this season that Hefflefinger has earned Athlete of the Week honors.

 

Other Top Performers:

Kimberly Roe (B-CU) averaged a 207 on 1,035 during four games at the Florida A&M Rattler NCAA Classic.

 

Maria Rodriguez (UMES) tallied a 986 total pinfall and averaged a 197.2 at the Delaware State Capital Classic.
