Bella Jade Romero earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Woodward (OH, 6-0, Sr., Garden Grove, California) hit 45-percent from the floor (22-of-38) to help extend the Lady Hawks winning streak to eight matches, including a 6-0 mark in MEAC play. The outside hitter tallied a 53-percent hitting percentage (11-of-17) and added two digs, three aces and two assists in a 3-0 sweep of Howard. She followed that performance with 11 kills, five digs, seven assists and one block in a 3-0 victory against Morgan State.
Romero (S, 6-5, Fr., Arlington, Texas) averaged 34.5 assists and seven digs for the Lady Hawks last week. Against Howard, the setter recorded 38 assists, eight digs and one ace while hitting 3-of-5 from the floor (60-percent). For the week, Romero hit 33-percent from the floor, posted five kills and tallied three aces.

Charlotte Armstead (NSU) totaled 19 kills on 35 attempts (40-percent) and added nine blocks (four solo) in two victories for the Spartans.
Mianna Armstrong (Ham) posted 19 kills and 34 digs in two losses for the Lady Pirates.
Jovana Blazeski (FAMU) recorded a double-double of 20 kills and 12 digs in a win over Bethune-Cookman.
Tracey Copley (NSU) totaled 19 kills, 18 digs and four aces in two victories for the Spartans.
Tosin Elebute (How) tallied 19 kills and posted a 44-percent hitting percentage in two matches for the Lady Bison.
Lauren Harris (SCSU) aided the Lady Bulldogs to a 1-1 mark last week with 15 digs per match.
Ivana Suput (Ham) averaged 19 digs per match in two losses for the Lady Pirates.
